My guests as well as myself like a wide variety of music. What kind of music will you play that night?
- At High Voltage DJ Services we have over 800 CDs with styles ranging from
Motown to Classic Rock and 70s Disco to Oldies. You can also submit a list
of songs you'd like to hear and we'll make sure we have them before the night
of the event! We're confident you'll like our music selection and pride oursleves
in never having had a dissatisfied customer. In addition, we're more than
happy to meet with you prior to the event to discuss any songs choices you
might have for that night.
What attire do you wear at events?
- At most events we wear a nice suit and tie. However at larger events especially weddings, a tux is what we prefer. You, the customer, may also request a nice polo shirt and slacks if the event will have a more relaxed atmosphere.
How early do you arrive before the event?
- There is nothing like a first impression which is why we like to be completely
setup well before the first guest arrives. This usually means two hours before
the event is scheduled to begin. This also gives us enough time to make any
neccessary changes to the program if needed.
Is the setup time included in the package price or is it additional?
- We do not charge for setup time. Setting up the equipment is part of DJing and is not considered part of the time block in which we play music.
Many DJs I've encountered in the past do not take requests. Do you take requests?
- Absolutely! We love to take requests! We believe that playing requests is
a very important part of the event. You don't hire us to hear the music we
like. You hire us to hear the music that will make you and your guests dance.
It also helps us to judge what other kind of music might be popular that night.
At some events, especially school dances, we will only play songs that are
edited for content.
Do you have backup equipment in case of equipment failure?
- In eleven years we've never had a piece of equipment fail during an event.
We make it one of our priorities to only purchase professional level audio
and lighting equipment. However there is a first time for everything so we
carry additional CD players, mixers, and amplifiers.
I'm worried about you being in
business a year from now. Will you still be around on the day of my event?
- Without a doubt! Our business has done nothing but grow over the past decade.
We will be glad to furnish references from many satisfied customers if you
wish. We have had over 630 successful events to date and our numbers are always
